Classic Mushroom, Onion, and Swiss Burgers

Looking for a delicious and creative burger recipe? Look no further than the Mushroom, Onion, and Swiss Burger! This burger is loaded with flavor and is perfect for any cookout as the warm weather is just around the corner.



Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat the grill to 400°F and place a cast iron griddle on the grill to preheat.

  2. Form the ground beef into 4.5 lb. patties and set aside.

  3. Add the olive oil to the griddle and sauté onions and mushrooms for ~2 min.

  4. Season the burger patties with steak seasoning and place on the preheated griddle.

  5. Cook for about 2 minutes on one side, then flip.

  6. Cook until internal temperature reaches at least 155° (~2-3 min), then place some of the mushrooms and onions on top of the patties.

  7. Add a slice of cheese on top of each patty.

  8. Cook until internal temperature reaches 160° (~1 min) and then remove from grill.

  9. Let burgers rest and toast the buns on the heated, seasoned griddle.

  10. Put the burgers on the buns and serve with additional condiments.
